Donna Colbert

1934 - 2023

DONNA COLBERT Donna left us November 19, 2023. She was living at The Inn at The Terraces in Chico. Donna was born on December 9, 1934, to Earl and Myrtle LaBaw in Upland, CA. They came to Chico to ranch almonds in 1944. Some of Myrtles family was already here. Mom developed lifelong friendships early in her life here in Chico. She met Elva first and the others, Joanne, Sally, and Dawn, later. Mom married at age 18 to Buzz Colbert. They were married for 62 years before he passed. She is survived by her children, Lark Vickers (Tom) of Chico, and son, Michael Colbert (Marianna), of Redding, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Buzz, and two brothers, Kenneth, and Robert. Her Aunt Gerry is still with us, as well as many cousins. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Springfield Manor located at 2050 Springfield Drive, Chico, CA 95928.
