1925 - 2017

ELAINE WILLIAMS Born on April 19, 1925 in Buhl, Idaho she went home to be with the Lord and her sweetheart Jobie on May 28, 2017 after drifting into a peaceful sleep a few days earlier. Elaine's youth was spent in Idaho where she assisted her dad with the family business; first as a sheep hearder's daughter where she was his right-hand man in the fields tending to the flock and then as co-pilot where she accompanied him and assisted with deliveries after they had bought a dairy. In 1942, she moved with her mother to San Jose, California where she graduated high school and met and married Ken Crowell and had her only child in 1945, Cathy Lee. As God would have it that marriage was short-lived and soon after in 1949 she met and married her true love, Jobie Williams. Her early life with Jobie was spent witnessing to others about the Lord and spending time together. She spent many years working with kids of all ages in youth groups and Sunday schools. In 1969, they moved to Chico, California and became partners in Pat's Shoe and Repair. The second part of her life was spent growing and maturing in the Lord where she attended Sunday school worship service women's groups and volunteered. She also enjoyed traveling, writing poetry, camping, fishing, playing cards, and spending as much time with family as possible. In 1971, she was blessed to become a grandma to her only grandchild Joy Elaine and then in 2002 she became a great-grandma when her only great-grandchild Skylar Elaine was born. She lived a life of love and devotion to the Lord and others and was always there for family and friends; even though she showed no mercy when it came to a game of Skip-Bo. She was predeceased by her husband Jobie in 2007 and her brother Ken in 1987. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Lee and her husband Jim Wilson; her granddaughter Joy Elaine; her great-granddaughter Skylar Elaine; her sisters Raellen, Helene, Diana; her brother Ray Jr.; and her many nieces and nephews that she also loved dearly. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Butte Bible Fellowship at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow.
