Eric Hill Obituary

ERIC SEAN HILL Eric Sean Hill passed away unexpectedly September 8th, 2021, in Chico, California surrounded by the love of his family and devoted friends. Born March 25th, 1985, to Linda and Scott Hill, Eric was a lifelong resident of Chico. He graduated from Chico High and spent his career as a Telecommunications Technician. From a young age, Eric embraced the outdoors from camping trips on any given weekend to snow skiing and later snowboarding at the local surrounding mountains and Lake Tahoe. He was fearless and not scared to try new things and lived life to the fullest through his outdoor activities and appreciation of nature and the different seasons. He was talented and artistic, from photography to being an accomplished self-taught guitarist. Eric savored the good things in life, especially cooking. He loved planning a meal and trying new recipes for family and friends. Whether it be a holiday feast or a spontaneous casual Friday night dinner, Eric would be found prepping in the kitchen and then at his command post behind the grill. A hard-core Giants Baseball fan, each spring and summer you would find Eric with his friends and family attending as many games as possible in San Francisco, or gathered around the TV cheering on their favorite team. Eric was an animal lover. From a young age, he was always surrounded by dogs and when he moved out on his own, he even brought along the family dog Rocco to live with him permanently. Eric is survived by his loving and adoring parents, Linda and Scott Hill; sister Abigail Hill and her Fianc‚ Ed McCracken; sister Elizabeth Hill; Grandmother Barbara Cordero Hill; Aunts and Uncles- Ben and Marsha Smith, John and Charlotte Crandall, Donald and Cori Hill, Steve and Pat Hill, Stuart and Traci Hill; Eric was the older and beloved cousin to Logan Kono, Andrew Smith, Tristan Crandall, Sydnie Rae Harvest and Ronnie Leanne Hill. Eric was blessed to enter this life with many loving grandparents that have since passed, but are holding him now in their arms; Dale and Gwendolyn Smith, Ronald Hill; great-grandparents Loyd and Muriel Smith, Mary Ellen Brundle , George Wilson; and beloved companion Rocco. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 18th, 1:00pm at Newton and Bracewell Funeral Homes, 680 Camellia Way, Chico Ca. Face Masks are required.
