GAVIN BOURNE Gavin Bourne, a long time Bay Area resident died unexpectedly on January 8, 2017 at the age of 60. Gavin is survived by his wife of 20 years, Leslie Davis; his sisters Pat Welborn and Barbara Lee Wright; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie Davis-Scharoun and Mike Scharoun; his nieces and nephews, Rachael Dunlavey (and children), Gretchen Spletzer-Ziozions; Duskin Jasper, Sandy Lee, Phaedren Lee; and Brandon Scharoun. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Julie Bourne. Gavin was born in Palo Alto on January 8, 1957. He graduated with honors from the University of Lancaster, UK with a degree in Philosophy. He worked for thirty years in technology marketing with small and large companies both domestically and internationally. Gavin was an avid reader and lover of all things history. He loved his time at his Lake Almanor cabin where he would snowshoe, kayak, hike and cook. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and good friend to many people in many places. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A celebration of life will be announced in the near future.
