Upon retirement Gino and his wife took a year and returned to the Central Coast, taking up residency in Pismo Beach, CA. Here, he enjoyed reconnecting with childhood friends Dr. Thomas Wells and Richard Martinez, Esq., Senior Outreach Associate, Everytown for Gun Safety. Their Thursday night outings were spent at the local pizza parlor which Gino found exceptional joy in. This year was also a time in which he cherished family connections in the area. All who knew him felt ever welcomed by him. Many would say, "Who are we going to get to do that?" and the answer would be "Let's get Gino." Gino was always ready to give and willing to do. His generosity and kindness affected everyone, everywhere he went. Gino enjoyed sports, travel, family, swimming, sitting on the beach, working in his garden, and pretty much everything he did. He always wore a smile. Gino and Mary were blessed with a son, Dominic Manfredi, of Oroville, CA who is currently a local Special Needs Teacher.
