JACKIE CASTALDO We are saddened to share the news that our loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, died unexpectedly on November 2nd, 2022, at her home. Jacklyn Alma Castaldo was born on April 24th, 1944, in San Francisco, CA and was adopted by Bertha and Jack Clarke of Red Bluff, CA. She attended Mercy High School and was involved in cheerleading as well as an avid bowler. She went on to cosmetology school and helped put her husband, John Castaldo, through college. She met the love her life, John, at a CYO church dance, little did she know that chance meeting would lead to a joyous 57 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband, John, her children Sharadin, Michael, Brenda (son-in-law Nick), Sam, her grandchildren Francesca, Giovanni, Luciano, Bella, Santino, and Rocco as well as her beloved animals. They started their life journey together which took them from Red Bluff to Southern California to Omaha, NE and then happily settled in Chico in 1984. Anyone who knew Jackie knew she loved shit-tzus, margaritas, driving fast and dancing. Some of her other loves were their home in Vegas and spending time with family and close friends. The Rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 5-7pm at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, 10:00 a.m., at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.
