Jay Sims Obituary

JAY DEAN SIMS

Jay Dean Sims, 50 of Oroville, passed away on August 7, 2008. He was born on June 10, 1958 in Fullerton, CA.

Jay was a building contractor for 23 years. He enjoyed gold mining, camping and golf. Most of all, he really enjoyed gold mining.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Sims of Oroville; son, Jase Allen Sims; brother, John Sims, Jr. of San Mateo, CA; sister, LaVonne Swindell of North Carolina; father, Tom Sims of British Columbia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Allenbaugh.

Services will be held Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park, Oroville.

Dear Joyce: Jay has been like a part of our family for over 30 years, everyone loved him, I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you and your Son, that the Lord will give you peace and ease the pain each day, You have always had a place in my heart, we had a lot of good talks, you were and are my favorite, Just remember God loves you and He is always there. I am SO sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Jay through the Bank at Sierra Central, and he ALWAYS made me laugh and feel better if/when I was down. I know he will be missed and forever remembered....My thoughts and prayers are with youin this time of sorrow!!!
