John Robert Holland

JOHN ROBERT HOLLAND John Robert Holland left this earth for his Heavenly resting place on September 17, 2022. He passed away at his home in Sonora CA, which was his wish, with his wife Francine Mendenhall by his side. John was a retired law enforcement officer beginning his career with the Los Angeles Police Dept. in 1969 as a patrol officer then a SWAT Team member. He later served as a Deputy on the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Dept's, Tri-County Narcotics Enforcement Team, and retired in 1998. During his law enforcement career, he was able to obtain his Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice which benefited him in starting a second career August 1998 teaching Administration of Justice at Butte College in Oroville, CA. He retired from teaching in May 2017. A Life Celebration will be held November 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., Indigeny Reserve at the Brown House, 14679 Summers Lane, Sonora CA.
