John Morgado Obituary
John "Jack" Ronald Morgado of Oroville, died on Nov. 12, 2007. He was 75.
Jack was born Dec. 30, 1931 in Merced, Calif. and in 1960 moved to Butte County from Merced and worked for Palermo School District for 10 years as a bus driver and custodian. Jack also worked at D&J Feed Store in Oroville, where he made many friends and enjoyed working. Between employment of school and feed store, he owned and operated Barbs catering service in Oroville.
Jack attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Oroville, and was a lifetime member of Oroville Pagent Riders. He had a great love for his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them, four wheel drive rock crawling, riding four wheelers, and supporting them at baseball games. He also was especially fond of his horse, "Blaze" and enjoyed trail riding and horse camping as much as possible.
Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara A. Morgado, Oroville; daughters, Charlotte Ann Morgado, Oroville and Lynn Johnson (Gene) of Oroville; brother, Don Morgado, Winton, Calif.; grandchildren, Danny (Raquel), Casie (David), Lonny (Annie), Kyle, Katie (Damien), Jason (Wendy), Tia, Mikie, Donny, and Steve (Stephanie); and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his son, J. Steve Morgado.
Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Scheer Memorial Chapel. Service will be Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Oroville. Graveside services will be Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Winton District Cemetery, Winton, CA

To ALL of the Morgado family... we just wanted to send our condolences about Jack's passing. WE're sorry we couldn't get to town for the funeral. Dear Family, I was very close to Manuel & Evelyn - since I was a little girl I was their neighbor. They were so proud of their sons, and their families. I always heard good things of Jack. And Lenny, I remember having fun when you came down. Even under your grandma's watchful eye. God bless you all, I am so sorry for your loss!!

Gramps, I was so lucky to share a short piece of your life. You made me laugh, you welcomed me with open arms. I will charish the picture of us on our last poker ride together. You are missed and Loved. Until we ride again!
