LARRY RUSSELL WRIGHT Larry Russell Wright was born on New Year 's Day 1979, to proud parents of Randy and Heidi Wright. He was the first baby of the year for Butte County. The first thing he did after entering this world, was pee on the doctor and from that moment on he left his mark, on family, friends, and people in line at the grocery store. As a child he could make a task like taking out the garbage seem like an adventure. He enjoyed Lake Oroville; wakeboarding, skiing, fishing, and other things that best to go unmentioned. His smile reflected his heart, and his laugh always lit up the room. There was a time or two, he was known for being stubborn. He was competitive and daring, many time throwing caution to the wind, willing to deal with the consequences later. He graduated from Paradise High School in 1997, with a close group of friends and enough memories to last a lifetime. Larry graduated from the Butte College Fire Academy, became a Marine in 1998, and was proud to be part of the legacy of the Corps. He served in the Marine Corps reserves, which took him to many places in the world. Whether dealing with the public or friends, Larry's heart was never limited by the size of his wallet. In 2003 Larry married Rachel Jaskela, the love of his life. He had two dogs, Harley and Chopper, that became part of their family. Larry was involved in a go kart accident and, after a few unsuccessful back surgeries, his active life was altered. Those events robbed him, his family and friends of the" Larry" we knew and loved. Larry's suffering ended, March 6, 2014, at the age of 35. Larry is survived by his parents, Randy and Heidi Wright, brother and sister in law, Ryan and Jessica Wright, and Gracie and Jack (his niece and nephew). He is also survived by Grandmother Della Wright, Grandparents Bill and Nettie Vaughn and the love of his life, Rachel. For those who would like to celebrate his life, please join us for a memorial service to be held at the Paradise Alliance Church, 6491 Clark Road, Paradise, CA. Sunday, March 16th, at 4PM in the afternoon. His Family would love to see you there,,,, to laugh, reflect, or share a tear or two. To those that Loved Larry, "seize the day".
