MARY DOUGHTY Obituary

MARY LOU (DUGGER) DOUGHTY Mary Lou (Dugger) Doughty passed away on Nov. 3, 2012 at her home in Biggs, surrounded by her family. Mary Lou was born on November 4, 1929 to Luther and Ethel Dugger in Tuskegee, OK. In 1949, she married Harry J. Doughty. Mary Lou was a beautician by trade but spent most of her life keeping a home and raising her seven children. She worked seasonally at Del Monte Cannery in Yuba City. Over the years she also worked for different farmers with the kiwis, walnuts and almonds. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years; daughter, Anna May Guevara Discoe; and grandson, Michael Robertson. She is survived by daughters, Irene Perkins (Charlie), Evelyn Davis (Larry), Maple Girdler (Robb), Julie Robertson (Roger Lakey), and Ethel Byers (Allen); her son, Edward Doughty (Marcy) and son-in-law, Bruce Robertson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the home of Ethel Byers at 66 Hastings Ave., Biggs, CA on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested by the family to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home. View and send condolences online at: www.nbcfh.com
