Many fond memories of Olive and JD up at the cattle camp. She is a great example of what a hard-working woman is.

Oh WOW !!! Seeing this obituary makes me sad but brings back good memories from days gone by !!! We lived in Butte Meadows (Bart Curiale, our mom, my sister, & I) and our stept-dad co-owned The Tankhouse (store) waaaay back when I was a teenager (about 15-17 years old until I moved back to Chico with my dad- I wasn't a fan of the snow LOL) and I am almost 58 years old now. So it was a long time ago. One of my greatest memories of living there was seeing JD & Olive ( I always LOVED her name) tootling around in their Jeep (if I'm not mistaken, it was a Jeep and either beige or white'ish or maybe a shade of green???) and he was always so rugged and handsome looking (even though I was just a teenager I always thought he was some kind of superhero or something) and she was always so kind & sweet and I love her dark curly hair. She always had a smile on her face and was just a joy to be around. I had heard years ago that JD had passed away and it was a bummer and I always thought of Olive but thought she might have passed away also. I wish I knew she was still around after all these years. I would have LOVED to see her and reminisce the old Butte Meadows days. Obviously, she was an amazing woman because I STILL remember her like it was almost yesterday and she impacted my mind & heart and just seeing her face here made my heart smile. I'm sorry for your loss (if anyone reads this) and she (& your father JD) will NEVER EVER be forgotten !!! They were legendary up there in Butte Meadows !!! :) :) Sincerely, Stacey
