Paul Mayle Obituary

Pvt. Paul L Mayle passed away April 20, 2004 at home with his family in attendance. He will be laid to rest April 29, 2004. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday April 29, 2004 at Oroville Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the chapel on Wednesday April 28, 2004, from 2 to 8 p.m. Paul served in the Armed Forces from 1942 to 1943 as a Private in the Medical Detachment 32 Infantry. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Katherine Virginia Mayle. They were married on February 2, 1942 in White Sulfer Springs, Maryland. They had been married for 52 years at the time of her death. Paul loved watching baseball and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He enjoyed watching all western movies. He is survived by his sons, David Mayle, Stanley Mayle, Edward Mayle and John Mayle; one daughter Nora Atma, from Colorado; daughters-in-law include Rilda Mayle, Betty Mayle, Pain Brownell and Juanita Mayle; one son-in-law, Jim Atma. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all services involved with Paul's care. Arrangements are under the direction of Oroville Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Enloe Medical Center Hospice.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I think of u guys all the time and the whole family misses u guys like crazy. Sorry about the late holiday wishes u know im always late. The last year was good except for the fact that a teenager hit our car when it was parked. He hit it so bad it totalled it, luckly he was not injuried and that he had insurance. Its been cold up here but nothing we cant handle. Luke has gotten into paintball pretty big, he likes it. Missing u all and wishing u were here.

Hello there pappaw,

Just sitting here thinking of you and mammaw and also aunt lula. I went for a bike ride with my dad today, Dad was riding a three wheeled bike. I was on my yellow mountian bike. Everyone is doing good. Jake, eric, and emily got to go and swim at nelson pool for the end of the school year. They had a good time. Hey Mamaw and Papaw,

I just wanted to stop by and say Hello. My fourth of July was o.k. But it would of been better if I would of gotten to see you. I miss you dearly both dearly, but one day I know that we all with be together again. My cheerleading is going good we are really good this year. i get to fly...the person who is in the air. It is sooo fun, it is also scary to, but as long as they catch me I wont hit the ground when I fall, but that doesnt always happen...I have been dropped twice in a row cause my back spotter didnt catch me like she was suppose to. Dear Family,

God works in mysterious ways, yet for all the right reason. God was kind enough to place me in Paul's hands so many years ago. On April 24th, 2004, god took a very dear friend of mine. I feel very fortunate to have known such a compassionate man for all of these years. He gave me so many fond memories to live with and to share with my children some day. Grandpa you will remain in my heart forever.

Don't worry about Eddie papaw, cause I will take care of him, as he took care of you.

This last week has been so wonderful. Our family all came together as one, and I hope it stays this way for the rest of our lives.
