REBEKAH HACKNEY Obituary
THOMASSON HACKNEY
Born: Feb. 26, 1944, Oroville. Calif. Died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. May 2, 2010 in Boise, Idaho. Becky's Mother, Meridel (Atkins) passed away at her birth while her father was serving his country during WWII. Her stepmother, Betty (Petty) also preceded her in death.
Becky grew up in Chico and graduated from Chico High School.
Becky is survived by her husband, Fred Hackney of Anchor Point, Alaska, where they lived until her illness forced them to return to Boise to undergo treatment for brain tumors; Her parents Harley and Lula Thomasson, Chico; three children; Tamara Boyd, Alaska; James Smith, Chico; Jeri Ann Looney, Idaho; Siblings, Jeannie Moore; Marcia White; Gene Stewart; Kelly Adams; and David Beasley.
Thursday, May 13, 2010, after a private memorial the family will have a BBQ at One Mile (section B) 1-5pm to share memories of Becky's life. Those who knew her are invited to join us.

I will miss Becky so very much she brought laughter and joy to my life.We worked together at South Penninsula Hospital in Homer Alaska, and she never met a stranger she didn't reach out to.She will be missed by all of us who were lucky enough to get to know her as she passed through this life.

I'm sorry that Becky is gone. I haven't seen her in 20 years, but we we had some good times together on Lake Hazel Road, and I have fond memories of her. Brenda Greenman

It was a joy and privilege to know Becky. She loved life and, until the end, was full of interest in others, and welcomed everyone into her home. She will always be in our thoughts. Dan and Julie Looney
