RICHARD EARL MORGAN Richard Earl Morgan departed this world on Sunday, June 4th, 2023 in San Francisco, CA, leaving family and many friends with heavy hearts. Richard was born May 27th, 1951, in Corning, CA. He was the third of four children of Robert (Bob) and Katie Morgan of Corning. He graduated from Corning Union High School with the class of 1969. He soon married Kathleen Hughes just prior to joining the U. S. Navy in 1970, eventually serving his country in the Vietnam conflict. After leaving the military, Richard began his career as an accomplished electrician, spending his final years working for the Johns Manville Corp. in Willows, Ca. Richard moved to Orland, Ca when he retired and was busy with fishing, hunting and grandkids accounting for a good share of his time and enjoyment. He was a great cook, often delighting family and friends with his specialties - such as green chili and especially mouth-watering pies and cookies. Richard is survived by his three sons; Justin, Blaine and Rich Morgan. There was nothing that Rich wouldn't do for family, friends, and even strangers. He epitomized; "Beneath that gruff exterior beats a heart of gold." His smile and boundless humor will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace Richard! The Celebration of Life for Richard's passing will be held on September 17th, 2023 at 12:00 PM at White Ranch Events - 214 Hagenridge Rd, Chico, CA 95973.
