Rory McGuire was born in Chico, California on September 20, 1990, and passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011, in Reno, Nevada, at the age of 20.
A viewing and a Celebration of Life service for Rory will be held at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home from 11-1 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011.

Dear McGuire Family and mommy McGuire. I have seen your beloved Son died tragically. It hurts me and I m so sorry for your Loss. I saw your son as a baby and it breaks my heart your beautiful lil baby. I feel so much pain and i cant stop crying. Please mommy McGuire if you see this message please get back to me. If there is anything I could do for you let me know. I just want to sit and cry. He reminds me of my baby and its really hurt but i have to cry alone and I wish i could hug you and go along with you through this pain. I send you love and peace. Even though I may not have known Rory, and never have before this day, but I feel his presence as I watched the dateline story. As a mother myself, my heart aches terribly for you to have experienced the passing of your Angle.
Still however yet, Rory is an angel that God had allowed, whose life had been used to touch so many of us around the world,
and definitely in a positive way.
And now as I watch the ending of this story, I still pray that God will continue to comfort and strengthen your heart, same as he did then, and even now, and for always.
