William Eissinger Obituary

WILLIAM ARTHUR EISSINGER Dec. 4, 1947 - Aug. 13, 2014 William Arthur Eissinger, born in Fresno, CA on December 4, 1947 to Arnold H. Eissinger and Hazel Croy Eissinger, was the youngest of three children. Bill attended grade school in Paso Robles. The family moved to Chico in 1963 and Bill graduated from Chico High School in 1965. He graduated from Chico State College in 1970 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Bill was a friendly person, and a natural at sales. In the 70's, he owned a car sales business in Chico for many years. Bill then went into RV sales locally, then later in Petaluma for eight years. He retired in 2011. Bill was a kind and gentle soul who cared more about others than himself. He was devoted to, and adored by, his family and friends alike. He loved art, jazz, and the beauty of Bidwell Park, where he spent many hours hiking, biking, and swimming. Bill was the best friend a person could ever have: trustworthy, loyal, and humorous. He loved others unconditionally. Tragically, Bill acquired a fatal illness that was the cause behind his demise. Bill is survived by his sister, Susan Eissinger of Corning, brother Richard Eissinger of Cedar City, UT, cousin Judy Croy of Berry Creek, and six nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Saturday, September 20 at 1 pm at Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway, Chico, CA.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I will love you and miss you always. Even though we were only house mates for a short time during the mid 70s, I have never stopped thinking about you. I wished I had come to visit after I got out of the Navy.

Bill was a kind, caring soul that accepted his friends as they were, faults and all. I'm terribly saddened to hear of his passing. Bill, I hope you've found your peace in heaven.

Bill was a good neighbor and friend for many years, we lost touch after he moved to Warner St. but I always remembered about him and he was a sweet and a kind gentle person.
