Dustin Eckley Obituary
Avondale - Dustin Michael Eckley, 47, of Avondale, Colo., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Andrea; sister Brandy; and his grandma "Gram". He is survived by his loving wife, Monica Duran-Eckley; daughters, Brandy (Alex), Alicia and Alayna; son, Bailey; grandson, Timothy; father, James Eckley; siblings, Brent and Renee; nephew, Brandon; father and mother-in-law, Victor and Susan Duran; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark (Diana) and Jon (Thelma) Duran; special friends, Chris Altrogge and Franklin Garcia; and all his law enforcement brothers and sisters. Dustin was a captain at Crowley County Correctional Facility and a realtor for Keller Williams. Previously, he had been a sergeant for the Colorado Department of Corrections. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, as well as a member of the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Raton, N.M. Viewing, 1 to 3 p.m., in rotations of 10-person, 15-minute increments, followed by a private family service, 3 p.m., Friday. Service may be viewed through livestream on Facebook at Romero Family Funeral Home, Pueblo and YouTube at Romero Family Funeral Home Pueblo.

Dustin always had a great smile and hug whenever we would run into each other. He would start the conversation as if no passage of time had occurred since our last conversation. He was a super nice guy and I am so sad to learn of his passing. Rest in peace, Dustin. You are missed.
