My condolences to my cousins on the passing of their father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He was the last of his generation. No doubt his sibling waited with open arms.
I remember those Avalos eyes. His father's eyes.
I recall how I read a photographer he met while serving in Germany during the war inspired him to become one.
Every other year he photograph our school pictures and I took pride in that he was my uncle. As he mastered his art, I bragged about him to friends and titled him the Mexican Norman Rockwell. Exquisite work.
Always generous in photographing family thereby leaving forever memories of events and family.
He left a proud legacy.
Oh! And the man could Dance!
