Liz Pounds Obituary

Liz Pounds
Liz Pounds, of Pueblo, passed away on Feb. 4, 2021, at the age of 65. She previously worked as a certified nursing assistant, and had been in ill health for several years. She was born Elizabeth Irene Custer on June 19, 1955, in Dallas, to Hugh Custer and Josephine Mae "Jody" (Sturgis) Custer, but was raised by her mother and stepfather Dwight Baker. Liz was preceded in death by her biological father; parents, Dwight and Jody Baker; former husband, Steven Pounds; daughter, Stephanie Browning; granddaughter, Lynneah Browning; and sister, Jeana Baker Burr. She is survived by her grandson, Jaelyn Browning of Covington, Ga.; sisters, Sherry Lynn Ingwerson (Clay) of Oklahoma City and Flo (Tim) Kiley of Pueblo; brother, Robert (Lililu) Baker of Pueblo; nephews, Bill Watford of Austin and David Burr of Pueblo; niece, Cindi (John) Griffin and her children Presley and Gunnar of College Station; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on what would have been her 66th birthday at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at Mountain View Cemetery in Pueblo.
