I was saddened to see Melissa's obit. She was called home by our Lord at a young age. Every time I would run into Melissa and Vera, Melissa would always have a big smile on her face! Now she is smiling as an angel in heaven! My condolences to Vera and the family. I will keep you all in prayer. May God comfort your hearts and help you through this difficult time. Melissa, was my child under my wing at Furrs. We worked together for years.I am just in shock and disbelief. We moved to Springs,so haven’t seen her or Vera in a long time. Melissa was so kind, she would get to laughing at me so hard.I will never forget her.

Melissa was the sweetest daughter anyone could have. We saw her many times, usually with our friend and co-worker Vera, her mother. Many times however, we saw her working at the Furrs cafeteria on the south side of Pueblo. (Now closed.) She always smiled and spoke to you with kindness. Our world is diminished without her presence, but Heaven is surely rejoicing. Our prayers go out to Vera her family at this difficult time. Surely God will comfort you with the knowledge that we will see her again...with a brand new body. Love, Mannon and Sandy Lukehart.
