Olivia Apodaca Obituary

Olivia "Oly" Victoria Apodaca, 68, of Pueblo, passed away on Dec. 11 2020. She was born to parents, Ben Apodaca and Victoria Apodaca (Valles), on Aug. 25, 1952, in Pueblo. She graduated from Central High School in 1970. Olivia "Oly" worked as a lead tech for 20 years, starting from the assembly line and working her way up. After 20 years of service, she was placed on disability for her rheumatoid arthritis and lupus that had affected her health and abilities to physically continue to work. She enjoyed music, dancing, her faith, movies, trivia, crosswords, gambling and casinos and helping those in need. She also faithfully attended church and gave her time to teach catechism classes and help the church whenever needed. Oly was a jokester, and prankster and loved to make people laugh. Chances are she had touched your heart with laughter. Olivia "Oly" met Elmer Aragon in 1997 while working at Trane Co. The two have enjoyed many years together, enjoying car shows, road trips, casinos and their love for the Den-ver Broncos. Olivia is survived by husband, Elmer Aragon; son, Brandon Pacheco; daugh-ter, Desiree Pacheco (Joe Martinez); granddaughter, Victoria Medina; grandson, Jordan Medina; granddaughter, Joni Martinez; sister, Yvonne (Chuck) Martinez; brother, Ben (Jean) Apodaca; Sister, Renee (Mike) Archuleta; nephew, Jason (Ashley) Martinez; Nephew, Adam (Jessica) Martinez; niece, Danielle Martinez; niece, RaeAnne (Abe) Cruz; niece, Kaylene Archu-leta; nephew, Jonathan Massey; nephew, Isaac Massey; niece, Grace Apodaca and nephew, AJ Apodaca. She was preceded in death by parents, Victoria and Ben Apodaca; and many aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers/donations, memorable contributions for her long obit (that would have pissed her off) can be sent to 2127 Lynwood Lane, Pueblo, CO 81005 or Charity donations to the Lupus Foundation, www.lupus.org. The family has entrusted Angelus Chapel with the arrangements of cremation. A private Mass service and rosary is scheduled for Friday Jan. 8, 2021, 11 a.m, at Holy Family Parish. No reception will follow due to COVID-19. Ceremony will also be streamed via the Holy Family site. A full celebration of Olivia's life will be during August 2021 for everyone to enjoy. I delivered Blue and White balloons to Oly's family on Sat, Dec 11 for her Remembrance; and a Blue balloon and a White balloon came loose and remained in the back seat of my car. On Sunday I opened my car windows, And the Blue balloon and the White balloon flew out of the back windows and up to the heavens; a pair of Central balloons for Oly, friend and lifelong classmate.

Ollie was a great person and a good friend. We worked together at Trane in Pueblo for many years. We gave each other advice about so many things in life and also spoke about death and our relationship with the Lord.

The last time I saw her was at a convenience store in Pueblo with her son, Brandon. She spoke of her children often and loved them dearly.

I wish for you to be with Our Lord, your parents and all your loved ones in the Heavens. I will always remember you, Ollie and will pray for you and your family.
