Robert "Bob" Ross Alonzo, 68

ALAMOSA- Robert "Bob" Ross Alonzo, 68, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Pueblo, Colo.

surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on August 23, 1957, in Denver, Colo, the son of Frank and

Mabel Alonzo. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

On Oct. 20, 1973, Bob married the love of his life, Antoinette "Toni" Alonzo, in Alamosa, Colo. Together

they welcomed three children, Adrian, Jeremy and Sara. Bob worked as a convenience store manager

and later at Public Service Company of Colorado before stepping away from work due to health

concerns.

Bob's faith was strong and guided his life, even leading him to become an ordained minister. He loved

God, enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, working on cars, his motorcycle and watching sports-

especially cheering on his beloved Denver Broncos. His love of music and the talent he shared will be

carried on through his family for many years.

Bob spent many years babysitting his grandsons who were always excited to see what special project he

would have ready for them to build. This included their clubhouse, a football goal post to practice

kicking, a bird house, frog pond and much more. He instilled within them a love of older music. Above

all, Bob cherished time spent with family and friends and found his greatest happiness in being

surrounded by those he loved.

Survivors include his wife of the family home Toni Alonzo, Alamosa; Adrian (Gail) Alonzo, Wausa, Neb.;

Jeremy (Jennifer) Alonzo, Alamosa; Sara (Dan) Maier, Denver; his grandchildren Peyton (Devan Key)

Swanson, Nebraska; Gabby Swanson, Nebraska; Anika Alonzo, Nebraska; Caden (Desiray) Alonzo; Ryker

& Raelee Alonzo, Alamosa; Luke Maier, Denver; great-grandchildren Cruz, Tatum, Creed & Cian,

Nebraska.

He is further survived by his sister, Nancy (Joe) Maestas, along with many nieces, nephews, extended

family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his mother-in-law Barbara Salazar and brother-in-

law and good friend Robert "Bob" Lee.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28 at Romero Funeral Home in Alamosa

with burial following at the Alamosa Cemetery.
