Floyd Wright Obituary

Floyd William Wright

RICHMOND DALE: Floyd William Wright was born the youngest son of Floyd H. Wright and V. Marie Stockman, October 5, 1940. He suddenly passed from this life on his birthday, October 5, 2014 at home. Floyd's parents and brothers, Richard, Ellsworth "Al", Rev. George "G.T.", and Larry preceded him in death.

Floyd "Booge" Wright is survived by his loving wife, the former Juanita Landrum; and five children, Lisa (Jim) Burns, of Frankfort, Bryan Wright of Toronto, Ontario, Michele (Brent) Wright Parker, of Ray, Lori Ann Graves, of Bradenton, Florida and David Wright, of Columbus; and six grandchildren, and more recently three young great grandsons.

Booge was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life and provided for his family with exceptional character, hard work, and grace. He enjoyed a rich fellowship of deer hunters through the years including his brothers Al and Larry; and Tom, Dale, RJ, Matt, and Jeff. Booge served as a volunteer EMT and firefighter in Jefferson TWP, Richmond Dale, for more than 40 years. He also served as an EMT, and on the HazMat team, at Mead Paper Company, for many years where he was a master machinist, for the latter portion of his 43 years working in Chillicothe. He was a member of U.P.I.U. Local 731.

Floyd was a consummate craftsman throughout his life, constructing and engineering masterpieces, culminating in his lovely cabin in Richmond Dale, ten years ago, which he shared with his wife and family. He served many years as a Cub Scout Master leading Pack 39. He also spent many years fishing and enjoying the company of family and friends at Lake Royce Club.

He was a lifelong member of the Richmond Dale Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Elders Phil Crabtree and Bruce Dillon and Pastor Bill Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Limerick Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
