Donald Eugene Buzard, Jr.
Carrollton - Donald Eugene Buzard, Jr. "Eugene," of Carrollton, unexpectedly passed away at 2:58 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton, Missouri.
Eugene lived joyfully and was granted an earthly life of fifty-three years, seven months, and six days.
On February 18, 1968, Donald Eugene Sr., and Mary Ann (Cooper) Buzard, of Carrollton, MO, was blessed with a son, naming him Donald Eugene Jr. Eugene began his early life with a sister, Donna, and a brother, Rich. Eugene graduated with the class of 1986 from Carrollton High School. He enrolled in college at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, studying Agriculture and receiving his bachelor's degree in 1991. He was also one of the last members to attend Pleasant Hill Christian Church. After Pleasant Hill closed their doors, he began attending another church that he grew to love and became a Carrollton United Methodist Church attendee.
He worked at Harrah's, and he was also an agricultural fruit inspector, but he also farmed in row crops and enjoyed baling hay.
Eugene was blessed with four precious children, Elizabeth Christine, Buelah Katherine "Katie," Donald Eugene II, and Rebecca Elaine.
On October 14, 2017, Eugene was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Melody Hampton, at the Carrollton Methodist Church. Their friendship and love for one another grew stronger each day.
Eugene loved his children and his family but most of all he loved being a PaPa. Eugene absolutely loved to laugh, and he was always making faces, or silly words and sounds, and constantly joking around.
He remembered many family history stories and held onto heirlooms, and he began researching more family history through genealogy. He also had recently inherited a little farm in Bogard because he was aware that the farm once belonged to his family, and it became imperative for his family to regain ownership. He loved being on the farm growing and canning vegetables, and he especially loved mowing the grass. He enjoyed eating and cooking, especially pasta or a turkey sandwich with butter. He was also a collector of coins and stamps and an avid WWII history enthusiast. Eugene enjoyed watching tv, his favorites being Hogan's Heroes, The Sopranos, or any Documentary on wars. He never knew a stranger, he loved Carrollton and always dubbing it "his home."
Eugene is survived by his wife, Melody Buzard of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth Christine (Anthony) Richard of Kansas City, Missouri, Buelah Katherine "Katie" (Jordan) Faires of St. Louis, Missouri, Rebecca Elaine Buzard (Cordell Frazer) of Smithville, Missouri, a son, Donald Eugene Buzard II, of Smithville, Missouri.; his very dear sister, Donna Jean Buzard of Chillicothe, Missouri, and his brother, Norman Richard Buzard (Arbizene), of Jefferson City, Missouri; and a precious grandson, Adonis Jordan Richard; two nieces, Sarah Kay (Josh) Suffel, and Juliana Renee Buzard; two nephews, Matthew James Buzard, and Joshua Thomas Buzard.
