EAU CLAIRE -- Darrell Francis Goulet, 74, of Eau Claire, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
He was born Sept. 10, 1929, the son of Francis and Marie Goulet. He grew up and resided in Chippewa County where he was a bus driver, cabinet maker and carpenter.
Darrell married Rita Rothbauer on May 28, 1948, in Cooks Valley, and later resided in Eau Claire where he constructed boats and Pre Fab homes. He was a machinist at McDonough Mfg. for 29 years. He built two homes for his family throughout the years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Rita; three daughters, Jeanne McCann of Woodbury, Minn., Karen (Bill) Schwenk, and Mary (Don) Winrich, both of Eau Claire; two granddaughters, Lisa McCann of California and Laurie McCann Crowell of Minnesota; great-grandson, Benjamin Crowell of Minnesota; three brothers, Dale (Bonnie), Douglas (Dorothy), both of Chippewa Falls, and Dean (Florine) of Colfax; five sisters, Delores Swoboda, Deone (Maurice) Jorstad, Dyllis (Eugene) Swoboda, Dona Wildenberg, all of Chippewa Falls, and Diane (Mike) Hayes of Colfax.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27 at St. Olaf Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Corradi officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 at Prock Funeral Home where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to mass at church on Fri.
