David A. Parish, 60, of Cadott passed away unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at his home.
He was born on Aug. 11, 1954, the son of David K. and Dorothy M. (Rieck) Parish in Mauston.
David married Karen Starck on Aug. 6, 1983 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cadott.
He was employed as a Environment Services truck driver and diesel mechanic for 25 years.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, flying model airplanes, camping, restoring vintage cars, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
David is survived by: his wife Karen; children Jenny Parish, Christopher (fiance Melissa) Parish, Greg (Sara) Starck, David Welu, Joshua Starck, Jon Parish, Steven (Rylie) Parish and Robert Parish; grandchildren Brittney, Brett, Alexis, Laeylah, Mason, Anne, Landon, Isabel, Emmit and Everly; great-grandchildren Aiyanna Sutton and Zander Casey; brothers Larry Rieck, Kenneth Mueller and Keith (Deanna) Price; sisters Mary Kay (Mort) Fields, Judy (Johny) Caylor and Karen (Bonz) Jacobs; mother-in-law Catherine Starck (Raleigh Hakes); brothers-in-law Michael (Patricia) Starck, Larry (Elaine) Starck, Russell (Sandra) Starck, Brian (Suzanne) Starck, Terry (Debra) Starck and Thomas (Shannon) Starck; and sisters-in-law Janet (William) Winters, Lori (William) Walters, Julie (Robert) Bremness, Diane (Allen) Mason, Sharon (Dean) Steinmetz and Sherrie (John) Szymanski. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by: his parents, David and Dorothy; sister-in-law Judy Rieck; granddaughter Leagh Casey; father-in-law Reuben Starck; brother-in-law Gary Starck; sister-in-law Sandra Marion and best friend Pete Kellum.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Rev. Raymond Bell officiating. Interment will follow the services at Countryside Union Cemetery, Town of Goetz.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, and also one hour before services Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
