CADOTT - Donald A. Schofield, 74, of Cadott, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
He was born on March 12, 1933, in Cumberland, the son of Byron and Anna (Ploman) Schofield. While he was in the service he met and married Gladys Bruno on March 31, 1953, in Norman, Okla.
They moved to Minnesota in 1957 and moved to Cadott after his retirement from Whirlpool.
Donald is survived by: his wife, Gladys; his children, Trevadon (Duane) Mateski, Sarah Hitts, Donald (Marie) Schofield II, Viola (Jeff) Drehmel, Albert Schofield, Glenn (Alynn) Schofield and Joseph Scofield; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Norman (Kathleen) Schofield and Marvin (Emily) Schofield; special adopted daughters, Helen (Weber) Nichols and Judy Kapsner; and granddaughter, Maggie Kapsner Pierson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Byron and Anna Schofield; brothers, Clarence, Edward and Wilbur Schofield; sister, Joanne Ehrney; and a granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Schofield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday June 8 at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott with Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Interment will be in Brooklawn Cemetery, Cadott, with military honors conducted by Cadott American Legion and VFW.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Leiser Funeral Home and one hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
