Earl Iverson Obituary

Earl Iverson, 87, of Menomonie, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.

Earl was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Colfax to John and Alma (Hilson) Iverson. He was raised in the town of Elk Mound and on Oct. 26, 1946, he married Irma Scharlau, who preceded him in death in 1983.

Earl was a welder and machinist. He owned a blacksmith shop in Wheeler and drove school bus for the Wheeler School System. He later worked for Rusk Implement, Keller Blacksmith in Menomonie, and Sanna Dairies until he retired in July of 1985.

Survivors include his two sons, John (Susan) Iverson of Mondovi and their children, Mark (Gretchen) Iverson, Allysa, Brett and Thomas, Eric (Kayna) Iverson, Daikon and Avery, Scott (Heather) Iverson, Annabelle and Sydney, and Randall (Shelly) Iverson of Boyceville and their children, Michael and Jennifer Iverson; step-grandchildren, Jordan, Shelby and Shane Pellet; sisters-in-law, Ethel, Delores, Carol, Eleanor and Joan; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Colfax.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Sampson Funeral Home in Colfax and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
