Edith Ramona "Mona" Short, 75, a resident of Lakeside Nursing & Rehabilitation, town of Eagle Point, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at the home.
She was born on August 27, 1928 in Barron, the daughter of Lawrence and Clara (Espeseth) Ritter. She married Robert G. Short on May 15, 1948 in Decorah, Iowa.
She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls.
She is survived by seven sons, Gerald (Diane), Steven (Debra), Dale (Leane), Mike (Cindy) and Bob (Diane) all of Chippewa Falls, Thomas (Mary Ellen) of Eau Claire and Chris of Menomonie; three daughters, Judith Nehring and Cindy Pilgrim both of Chippewa Falls and Marie (Kirk) Holstein of Eau Claire; one brother, Dale (Joanne) Ritter of Chippewa Falls and one sister, Elaine Smith of Janesville; 36 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 at Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21 at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls and one hour before the services at the church on Monday.
Her greatest loves in life were her late husband, children and grandchildren and her love of antiques.
