Elaine P. Misfeldt, 77, of 525 W. Cliff St., Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.
She was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Erling and Agnes (Lambert) Lier.
She married Kenneth L. Misfeldt on Nov. 4, 1950.
She had worked as an administrative assistant for Chippewa County until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, going to Popple Lake, the cabin, her coffee clutch at McDonald's, trips to the casino and high school sports.
She is survived by: six sons, Gary (Linda), Dan, Rick (Linda), Bill (Theresa), Jim (Mary), and Tom Misfeldt all of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Jeanne (Mike) Sedlacek, Julie (Skip) Bertrand and Mary (Brad) Shermo all of Chippewa Falls; 17 grandchildren, Anna Biron-Bomis, Greg (Kelly) Misfeldt, Michelle, Jason, Brian, Ryan, Christopher, Matthew and Michael Misfeldt, Josh, Jessica and Jacob Sedlacek, Quinn, Blake and Kacie Bertrand and Luke and Logan Shermo; and one great grandson, Aidan Misfeldt.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Kenneth L.; her parents; one daughter-in-law, Joan Misfeldt; and two granddaughters, Angela and Jill.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 1 at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Edmund Doerre will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, and until 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
