Jeffrey "Freddy" A. Frederick
June 27, 1966 - May 7, 2025
Jeffrey "Freddy" A. Frederick, age 58, of Chippewa Falls passed away on May 7, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Freddy was born on June 27, 1966 in Chippewa Falls, the beloved son of the late Mary Ann (McIlquham) and Perry James Frederick. He grew up surrounded by a big and loving family and his spirit of humor, generosity and loyalty touched everyone who knew him.
Freddy proudly served his country, enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1988. He completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia and was later stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. His service in the Army may have been short, but one he valued deeply and remembered with pride.
Over the years, Freddy worked hard in a variety of roles and industries. He was employed at Nordson Extrusion Dies Industries, Bauman Construction and up until his death at American River Transportation Company as an able-bodied seaman. Whether on a job site or with a team, Freddy was known for his strong work ethic and easygoing nature.
A man of many passions, Freddy enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found fishing or hunting. True to the "Frederick" competitiveness, he played high school football and track and field and loved challenging family and friends at a game at the dart boards, bowling or hitting a round at the golf course whenever he had a chance. A loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, he never missed a game, especially against "The Chicago Bears." Freddy also had a great love for movies where friends and family could always count on him to rent a favorite for movie night.
But perhaps one of his greatest joys was spending time and his hard-earned income with his family and all of his nieces and nephews. His apartment and refrigerator were peppered with their photos. You could always count on him to be the first to support one of their fundraisers. He often enjoyed treating all of us to dinner at our favorite Lake Wissota Restaurants. His selflessness and kindness was always overflowing.
Freddy is survived by his sisters: Ann Fitzgerald, Terri (Bill) Trimbell, Tamara Crow, Renee (John) Mower, and Lori (Lyle) Jensen. He is also lovingly remembered by his friends and a large extended family, including a long list of cousins who shared many laughs, stories and memories with him over the years. He will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and sharing a joke or two with him.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 13th at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Alex Kren of St. Charles Church will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m., until the time of services at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 13th at the funeral home.
The family asks that floral tributes be minimal, and that you consider contributions for the Disabled Veterans. Freddy took great pride in his military service and found joy in life's simple pleasures. Your memories and shared stories are the greatest tribute to our brother.
