Paul S. Schemenauer
CHIPPEWA FALLS - Paul S. Schemenauer, 42, of Chippewa Falls, Town of Tilden, died Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family under the care of Mayo Clinic Hospice.
Paul was born February 10, 1982 in Chippewa Falls, at St. Joseph's Hospital to Steve and Mary (Dachel) Schemenauer.
He spent most of his school years at St. Peter's School in Tilden, moving his senior year to Chi-Hi where he graduated in 2000.
He started working for his uncle, Keith Dachel on his hog farm and remained there until his diagnosis. He spent early adulthood with his amazing friends, going to concerts, playing darts and hanging out at the latest "party spot".
He welcomed his first son, Charlie (Megan Bresina) in 2009 becoming the most devoted father. In 2013 he met Amanda (Beaver) and they married on April 2, 2016. They welcomed two more sons, Samuel in 2018 and Hank in 2020. He was the most thoughtful and attentive father.
Paul was an outdoors man, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and maintaining his yard. His bi-yearly trips to Canada and yearly trips to the Bowe cabin were his favorite trips.
He found a love for reading in his 30's, enjoying dozens of books on history, hauntings or true stories. He and his wife also made some trips to Jamaica and Georgia, growing his love for traveling. His favorite thing in his life was the laughter of his friends and family, especially if it was at the mercy of one of his many pranks.
Paul is survived by his wife, Amanda; three sons: Charles, Samuel and Hank Schemenauer all at home; his parents; one brother, Jesse (Kelly) Schemenauer of Chippewa Falls; and two sisters: Kelly (Jon) Barrett of New Richmond and Sarah (Jeff) Norem of Stillwater, MN.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. Peter's Church in Tilden. Rev. Alex Kren will be Celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
