Phyllis Mary Normand, 75 years young, of Chippewa Falls, township of Anson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born March 28, 1932, in the township of Anson to Elsie (Cutsforth) and William McIlquham. She grew up in the township of Anson and lived there her entire life.
Phyllis married Merle "Bud" Normand on April 30, 1949, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls. They were about to celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls.
Survivors include: her husband, Merle; five sons and one daughter, Timothy (Sharon), Daniel (Nancy), William (Julie), Mark (partner Diane), Nathan (Tamara), Sharon (Elton) Olsen, all of Chippewa County; two brothers, Stanley (Lois) McIlquham of Chippewa Falls, Earl (Lois) McIlquham of Anson; two sisters, Ruth Robinson of Eau Claire, Helen (Jim) Anonich of Rice Lake; six grandsons; seven granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; aunts; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her mother on March 7, 1978; and her father on Dec., 2, 2005.
Phyllis loved to camp, and out-fished everyone that attempted to compete with her. She back-packed in China and Mexico and traveled in Europe with her family. She was a dedicated mother and wife. Her family and home were very much her pride and joy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Cheri Miskimen of Anson United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Copp Cemetery, township of Anson.
