Robert L. "Bob" Sippy, 74, of 14127 195th St., Jim Falls, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.
He was born August 26, 1934 in Chippewa Falls to Lillian (Gilbertson) and Clifford Sippy. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1954.
He married Patricia Fitzpatrick Gygi on Sept. 8, 1972 in Watertown, S.D. Bob was a loving husband for 36 years, uncle, brother and "father."
Bob farmed in the town of Eagle Point for many years. He enjoyed farming, fishing, camping and SPORTS. He loved spending time with his wife at their trailer in Birchwood. Bob also enjoyed being with his family.
In 1991, Bob and Pat moved back to his hometown, Jim Falls, where he took up shaking dice and playing schmier every morning with good friends at Eldie's and Randy's, which he loved.
He will be dearly missed by: his wife of 36 years; daughter, Cheryl Gygi of Chippewa Falls; daughter-in-law, Toni Gygi; grandchildren, Donald and Tammy Gygi, all of Huntington, http://W.Va">W.Va.; brother, Allan Sippy of Hiawatha, Iowa; sisters-in-law, LaVonne Sippy of Bloomer and Marilyn Sippy of Marion, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Vern, Marshall "Red" and Dayton Sippy; sister-in-law, Delores Sippy; stepmother, Kay; and son, Ronald Gygi.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Jim Falls United Methodist Church in Jim Falls, with the Rev. Cheri Miskimen officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's memory may be directed to the American Lung Association.
