Robin Dean Gjelhaug, 50, of 221 N. 6th St., Cornell, was called home to the Lord surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at his residence with Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.
He was born on Feb. 22, 1962 in Paynesville, Minn., to Shirley and Ellsworth Gjelhaug.
He graduated from North High School in Eau Claire, was an active member of Northwoods Church and worked as a carpenter in the local #1074.
His pastimes included gardening, hunting, fishing, watching the Vikings and being a wonderful family man.
Robin is survived by: his wife, Janice; his sons, Justin Hibbard of Cornell, Joseph (Simone) Sopiarz of Eau Claire, and Adam (Caitlyn) Gjelhaug of Elk Mound; daughter, Britnee Gjelhaug of Eau Claire; grandsons Vladimir and Lucian; granddaughters Ravyn and Emmalynn; his father, Ellsworth Gjelhaug of Glenwood, Minn.; brothers, Jelly and Jay (Beth) Gjelhaug, both of Chippewa Falls, Cecil (Terri) of Dallas, Texas and Shann (Sue) of Elrosa, Minn.; sisters, Vicky (Dean) Crowell of Chippewa Falls and Tammy (Mark) Walz of Sauk Centre, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; his stepfather, Charlie; and niece, Carrie Mae Gjelhaug.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Pastor Greg Sima will be officiating.
Friends may call from 12 p.m. until the time of services Monday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls.
