Sharon Sikora, 65, of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, stepped away from this life into the next life with dignity and grace at her residence surrounded by her family with St. Joseph's Hospice on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015.
She was born Aug. 29, 1949, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Warner) Windsor.
Sharon married Allen Sikora on Aug. 14, 1971, at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Wisconsin Rapids. She was a member of Notre Dame Church.
She was a daughter, wife, mother, active church member at Notre Dame Church and the P.C.C.W., teacher, and later a stay at home mom and she eased into retirement with various part-time jobs. She graduated from UWEC and then taught in catholic schools in Oscoda, Mich. and Chippewa Falls.
Sharon enjoyed stamping, crafting, ceramics and just keeping in touch with friends and family. She especially looked forward to Girls weekends in Door County and tea parties.
Sharon is survived by: her daughter, Carol (Brad) Sundell; her seven siblings, Linda Windsor, Bill Windsor, Rhonda (Pat) Rominski, Ed Windsor, Rich (Cindy) Windsor, Mark (Julie) Windsor and Blanche (Jeff) Dove; and her mother-in-law, Bernadette "Bunnie" Sikora.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Allen on Sept. 20, 2013; her parents; father-in-law, Gilbert Sikora; and two brothers-in-law, Gilmore Sikora and Gary Dove.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Burial of cremains will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in the town of Tilden at a later date.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26 and until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian vigil service at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
