Stephen Sullivan Obituary

Stephen "Steve" Anthony Sullivan

September 21, 1958 - June 6, 2025

Stephen "Steve" Anthony Sullivan, 66, of Chippewa Falls, died suddenly on Friday, June 6, 2025 at his residence.

Steve was born September 21, 1958, in Sparta, the son of Quintin and Ann (Frederick) Sullivan.

The Sullivan family is deeply saddened by the passing of one of the seventeen. Steve always was proud to say he was the "middle child".

Steve is survived by his mom, Ann Sullivan, his nine brothers and six sisters, Ellen Stary, Sheila (Tom) Wanta, Dessie (Denny) Hartzell, Quintin (Marlene) Sullivan, Kevin (Linda) Sullivan, Tim (Gail) Sullivan, Maureen (Charlie) Hebert, Jim (Mary) Sullivan, Kathy (Rusty) Welke, Dan (Sherry) Sullivan, David (Donna) Sullivan, Shannon (Kevin) Balts, Terry (Traci) Sullivan, Pat (Aimee) Sullivan and Rob (Doris) Sullivan; and lots of nieces and nephews were also part of Steve's world!

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Quintin Sullivan; his sister, Colleen Beckwith; his brothers-in-law: Fred Stary and Bud Beckwith and his nephew, John Wanta.

Steve spent most of his youth and adult life in Chippewa Falls. Working a variety of jobs over his lifetime, he loved this community. Steve enjoyed biking and could regularly be seen taking a ride downtown.

Steve was especially close to his almost 99-year-old mother.

Recently Steve shared with his family a note he was writing for her birthday: "Ann and Quintin were the ultimate parents. Each of us was treated as if we were an only child. Thanks Mom, for hanging around so long with us. Keep that cheerful outlook that we all love so much." His words have a special meaning for all his family now.

The family would like to thank Karmin and Bob Thibedeau for their care over the last few years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 13 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Tim Oudenhoven will be celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Inurnment will be in O'Neil Creek Cemetery in the town of Eagle Point.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.

I have known the Sullivan family since I was a little girl in Cornell. They are an amazing family and so fortunate to still have their mother Ann. Sending condolences.
