Violet Schuster Obituary
NEW AUBURN -- Violet J. Schuster, 69, passed away at home on Sunday, May 2, 2004.
She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in New Auburn, to Harvey and Marie (Bethel) Schuster. Violet was employed at the Farmer's Store Company and worked for 35 years in telephone communications service in New Auburn, retiring from Citizen's Telephone Cooperative in 1992.
Violet was a member of the New Auburn United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She served as the Sunday School Superintendent for many years and taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She was the church treasurer for many years, helped with the New Auburn Community Vacation Bible School and was the church organist/pianist for over 40 years. She loved her God, her church and her music.
She is survived by: two sisters, Florine Schuster of New Auburn and Jean Schuster of Brooklyn Center, Minn.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Dennis, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 6 at United Methodist Church, New Auburn, with Rev. Mark Geisthardt officiating. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Olson Funeral Home, Bloomer. There will be no visitation Thursday before the service.
