Virginia "Ginnie" Ann Rasmus
CHIPPEWA FALLS - Virginia "Ginnie" Ann Rasmus, 86, of Chippewa Falls, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at LakeHouse Senior Living in Chippewa Falls under the care of St. Croix Hospice.
She was born December 24, 1937, in Bloomer, WI, to Albert and Ruby (Rivers) Rasmus.
Ginnie grew up in Chippewa Falls, lived later in Minneapolis, and eventually moved to Chicago and worked for the American College of Surgeons as her last job.
She attended Moody Church and volunteered in various ways through her church. Ginnie loved Jesus and her life was a testament to that!
She settled back in Chippewa Falls during her retirement years and became a member of Chippewa Valley Bible Church. Despite her physical limitations, she continued to volunteer wherever she could with "Ruby's Pantry" being one of her favorite places to volunteer.
So many will miss Ginnie and her gentle, giving spirit! But she is now free of the pain and trials of this earthly life, Praise Jesus.
Ginnie is survived by her brother-in-law, James Morrell; sister-in-law, Joann Rasmus; nephews: Bruce (Joan) Rasmus and John (Julie) Morrell; niece, Julie (Peter) Lea; many great-nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lavern Rasmus; sister, Darlene Morrell; and nephews: Tim Rasmus and Steve Morrell.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, 531 E. South Ave., Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Pastor Alan Dunham will be officiating. The interment will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery, Town of Woodmohr, WI, at a later date.
A special thank you to the staff of LakeHouse, Chippewa Falls, St. Croix Hospice staff and the many special friends from CVBC.
