Joe Catlett Obituary

Joe Wayne Catlett, 77, Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Hopkinsville, KY. Joe, the son of the late Joseph T. Catlett and Mary Catlett, was born on April 9, 1948, in Pembroke, KY. At an early age, Joe was a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church. He was previously employed with Flynn's Enterprise and U.S. Tobacco. He retired as a Fire Fighter with the City of Hopkinsville. He was an U.S. Navy Veteran. Joe enjoyed yard work, being outside, playing cards, and spending fun times with his friends. He owned the bar Scorpio. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Catlett; sister, Ester Catlett; brother, Robert E. Catlett. Survivors include his children, Jocelyn (Andre) Harper and Joe'l Catlett; Siblings, Thomas L. (Georgia) Catlett, Rev. Julius (Nannetta) Catlett, Rebecca (Larry) Coleman, and Randall Catlett; 3 grandchildren; a host of nieces & nephews, cousins & other family. Visitation will be Saturday, from 11 A.M. until 1230 P.M. with Words of Comfort to follow from 1230 until 1 P.M.
