Judith A. Shemwell

Judith Allen Shemwell, 74, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at her residence. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2025 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Bro. David Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Christian County, KY she was born January 2, 1951 the daughter of the late John Prentice Allen and Dorothy Louise Wetton Allen. She was a mother, homemaker and caregiver. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was also a member of Western KY Corvette Club with her husband Larry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Elizabeth Carolyn Allen Sanford and Anita Louise Allen Ellis. Survivors include her husband: Larry Shemwell of Hopkinsville, KY; and her children: Scott L. Shemwell and Stephanie (Aron) Hotson all of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren: Cadence Michelle Hotson and Donovan Christopher Hotson.
