I was so shocked to hear of the passing of Raed. Every time I would go into the restaurant, he would always greet me by name as well as his brother with the most jovial voice! Just watching his positive energy and seeing how he just genuinely loved, people made a difference. Such a bright light he brought to this world, may he rest in peace and may his memory continue to be for a blessing! Raed you will truly be missed

We are never ready when life hits at full force. I didnt know Raed personally. However, the first time i walked into Fast Eddy's, shoot, i knew him right then and there, big voice from the back, "Welcome in" !! I thought , i can let my guard down. Raed had a presence about him, and it was that, it said, 'I am here, and what can I do to make it better'? That was my first introduction to Mr. Battah. Each time after that, i always felt welcomed. I went in today, got my tacos and noticed the flowers outside..had to ask someone.
I lost both my parents 6 years ago. I can relate, but not 100%. One day at a time, let the memories flood you when they come, cry, ( i did in the restaurant today ). Life is short. We all need to stop, maybe every once in a while, to really take in, what we have around us.
Raed will be remembered and loved forever.
Peace be unto his family and people.

Please accept my deepest condolences on Raed´s passing. I met him shortly after he arrived in Jacksonville in a restaurant that my wife operated. He was very kind and gracious and was always smiling.
I´m praying that the Peace of God be with you all. May his Memory be Eternal
