DALE JENSEN 07/04/1956 - 09/16/2025 At 69 years of age, Dale E. Jensen's valiant fight with cancer came to an end at Keuka Comfort Care Home on the evening of September 16, 2025. Dale was born July 4, 1956, in Penn Yan, N.Y., to the late Frederick and Dorothy (Kellen) Jensen, Sr. Dale was predeceased by his parents, paternal grandparents Frederick and Christina Jensen, maternal grandparents Loren and Irene Kellen, and by two of his nephews, Lance Jensen and Christopher Jensen. Dale is survived by sisters Cheryl Jensen and Dawn Jensen, both of Lisbon, N.Y.; brothers Frederick L. (Donna) Jensen Jr. and Alan (Gale) Jensen, both of Penn Yan; aunt Berdine Van Sickle; several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with many close friends and his beloved feline companion, Booger. Well-known for his hard work, extensive mechanical knowledge and dedication to keeping many members of the Penn Yan community safely driving the local roads, Dale worked as an auto mechanic since graduating high school in 1975. He was first employed as a mechanic by Morton Salt in Dresden, N.Y., and then at Smitty's ARCO in Penn Yan until 1995. After the ARCO closed, Dale became a self-employed mechanic, working from home up until just weeks before his passing. He was also a vintage car enthusiast, cruising around in his Corvette or Trans-Am. In the summertime, Dale could often be found boating and fishing on Keuka Lake or flying with his friend Matt. One of Dale's favorite occasions was his birthday, where he could enjoy his brother Alan's barbeque chicken. Dale will be missed by family, and the many good friends he leaves behind. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday September 30, 2025, from 4 - 6 p.m. at Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan. Following calling hours all are welcome to celebrate Dale's life at Penn Yan Elks Club.
