JAMES FREDERICK FENTON James Frederick Fenton, 63, of Penn Yan, N.Y., passed away on December 19, 2023. He was a caring and fun-loving individual who adored his family. James had a passion for hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed spending time with loved ones. You could be sure to catch Jim at the deer shop cutting up deer for his loyal customers. In his younger days he was an avid coon hunter and loved his hounds! Jim also loved to play football with his friends and brothers, as well as coaching for Yates County Junior Football for many years. Jim was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, coach and just a good-hearted man. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Fenton and their children, Retired PO1 Timothy (Meg) Fenton, Michael Fenton, and Tyler Fenton. James was also a proud grandfather to Ella Fenton and Arya Fenton. Raising three boys just made it much more special to have two granddaughters. James will be deeply missed by his sister Victoria (Eric) Nussbaumer, brothers Rex (Ginny)Fenton, John Fenton (Dianne Segura), and Mark Fenton. He cherished his role as an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as all the friends of his son's nieces and nephews who called him Bubba, Dad, Pops or Uncle Jim. He was such a fun-loving man. James was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Jr. and Susan Fenton. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date to honor James' memory. Jim loved to throw a good shindig, especially the 4th of July parties he and Cheryl loved to have. Jim would want everyone to enjoy the celebration of his life and just remember how many hearts has touched over the years! RIP JIMMY YOU WILL BE MISSED!!
