JOEL BAUGHMAN

JOEL R. BAUGHMAN JR. Joel R. Baughman Jr., 67, of Penn Yan died suddenly Sunday, January 7, 2024, at home. Joe (as his friends knew him) was the son of Joel R. Baughman Sr. and Catherine (Sisson) Baughman. He was born November 25, 1956. Joe graduated from Penn Yan Academy in June of 1975. Prior to graduation, Joe started working for Penn Yan Builders where he worked for over 20 years. After working at the Builder, he worked as a mason at R.E. Kelly's Inc. of Seneca Falls and then on to TRT Masonry Inc. of Penn Yan which is where he retired from. Joe was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his daughters Brooke (Charles) Eveland and Carrie Baughman, both of Penn Yan; his life partner Tracy Mann, also of Penn Yan; grandchildren Charley and Steele Eveland and Joelie Rae Baughman King; his sisters, Karen (Michael) Hawley of Penn Yan, Pam (William) Disbrow of Branchport and Kelly Baughman Peloquin of Stanley. Joe is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joe was always up for a party and a fun time that was spent with the many friends that he had. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, driving his boat, watching golf, and rooting for his New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. He especially enjoyed family time and spending time with his grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held Sunday, January 14 at 2 p.m. at the Moose Club, 301 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, followed by a Celebration of Life to honor Joe's life.
