KATHRYN ABDUL Obituary

KATHRYN STRYKER ABDUL 05/01/1948 - 06/12/2025 Kathryn A. Abdul was born on May 1, 1948, in Penn Yan, N.Y. She was the daughter of Irving and Pauline (nee Abbott) Stryker. She died on June 12, 2025, at Baisch Nursing Facility in De Soto, Mo., at the age of 77. Kathryn is survived by her sisters, Sue (the late Richard) Grow of Hillsboro, Mo., and Marjorie (Mike) Collier of Dover, Del.; and brother, John (Joyce) Stryker of Dresden, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Kathryn was a nurse. She had cared for handicap children in Chicago during her nursing career. She greatly loved her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and was very proud of them. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Service were held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 7 p.m. at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main Street, De Soto, MO 63020; visitation was held from 5 - 7 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, at a later date. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
