ROBERT HALLOCK 07/06/1942 - 05/18/2025 Robert "Bob" C. Hallock, 82, of Hannacroix, N.Y., passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, with family by his side. Born on July 6, 1942, Bob was the son of Cecil Charles and Betsy Miller Hallock. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ann Hallock, his brother Peter Hallock, and his sister Carolyn Hallock Hansen. He is survived by his brother Larry Hallock and many loving nieces and nephews. After graduating University at Buffalo (class of 1962), Bob spent his career in civil service for New York State. He followed in his father's footsteps as town supervisor of New Baltimore, serving from 1982 to 1984 and again in 1990. Bob designed and built their A-frame home with Ann in 1969 - modern, distinctive, and full of character, just like him. He was a talented pianist, often entertaining family, friends, and his church community. Known for his quick wit, he always had a joke ready to share. He had a passion for cartoons, collecting elephants, and honoring local history. He devoted decades to the Bronck Museum and Greene County Historical Society, where he frequently portrayed General Greene in educational programs. A joint celebration of life for both Bob and Ann Hallock will be held on Saturday, August 23 at First United Methodist Church of Coxsackie with calling hours from 1 - 2 p.m. and a service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Greene County Historical Society (https://gchistory.org/). A priest, an imam, and a rabbit are donating blood. The nurse asks, "what's your blood type?" The rabbit says, "well I don't know about these guys, but I'm pretty sure I'm a typo."
