Send FlowersBarbara L. "Bobbie" Miller Wells, aged 94, of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, just days shy of her 95th birthday. Bobbie was born on September 23, 1930, in Marion, IN. Bobbie dedicated many years of her life to her work in production at RCA, where she contributed her talents until her retirement in 1990. A devoted member of Grace Community Church, she was known for her spirited personality and warm heart.
Bobbie found joy in various activities, including gardening, outdoor pursuits, and tending to her beloved yard. She had a passion for crocheting and enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles in her leisure time. A notable collector of Fenton glass, she took pride in her treasured pieces. Known for her ornery yet funny demeanor, Bobbie touched the lives of those around her with her caring, loving nature and her sweet spirit. Above all, Bobbie was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Blakely; her son-in-law, George Blakely; her son, Danny Miller; and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Miller; grandchildren, Angie (Mark) Trader; Scott (Susan) Miller; April (Rodney) Blackburn; and Dallas (Aubrey) Miller; great-grandchildren, Kati (Timothy) Yahner; Mark Ryan (Taylor) Trader; Hadyn (Taylor) Blackburn; Andrea (Tyler) Wright; Olivia (Colin) Miller; Emma (Gabe) Anderson; and Ava Keith; great-great-grandchildren, Trace Yahner; Robyn Trader; Bryson Yahner; and Loryn Blackburn; nieces and nephews; and Barbara was also a loving companion to her dog, Rosie.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Speicher and Zola (Kelly) Webster; first husband, Richard L Miller; second husband, David E. Wells Sr.; brothers, Gene and Jack Speicher; sister, Patricia Hardy; and great-great-granddaughter, Eily Trader.
Arrangements for Bobbie were entrusted to Mississinewa Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 200 North 7th Street, Gas City, Indiana 46933, where on Friday, September 19, 2025, there will be a visitation from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., then the funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Marion Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, in honor of Bobbie's love for animals.
