Beverly Camery Obituary

Beverly Kay Camery was born in Dayton, Ohio, on June 8, 1946, to Walter and Geneva Rawlings. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joel Arthur Camery, whom she married in 1966, and by her brother, Bill (Bonnie) Rawlings.

She leaves behind two devoted sons, Jason (Jennifer) Camery and Christian Camery, as well as three grandchildren, whom she loved deeply: Megan, Sidney, and Luke (Sarah) Camery.

Kay's love for her family was unconditional and ever-present, whether through faithful handwritten cards, thoughtful prayers, or the quiet ways she made everyone feel seen and cherished. She loved her daughter-in-law, Jennifer, as her own and was so proud of the family she and Jason built together. Kay also had a tender heart for animals – especially dogs and Chris' cats, who brought her comfort and companionship in their own quiet way.

Kay was a faithful member of Marion R.P. Church, a congregation she loved faithfully and considered them family. The church's children, in particular, held a special place in her heart. She delighted in them as if they were her own grandchildren, their laughter and presence bringing her immense joy.

Though her life may have seemed ordinary, her faith made it radiant. Kay was a quiet but mighty woman of prayer, who lifted up the names of others faithfully, even from her own death bed. Her deepest desire was for others to know the hope of the gospel, and she lived in such a way that made the love of Jesus unmistakable. Her legacy is one of gentleness, kindness, and a steadfast trust in her Lord Jesus.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Kay's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Aaron Murray officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Marion Reformed Presbyterian Church (1100 W. Jeffras Ave., Marion, IN 46952), the church she dearly loved and faithfully served.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have a lot of memories of KK, as mom called her. Visits to Florida and walks to the house from my Papa and Grandma´s, just one house apart on Corinth. She will forever have a smile on her face and a laugh with mom when I think of her.
God bless you.

My prayers & sympathy to Jason & Chris and their families.
Kay and I grew up together on Corinth Blvd. We met when we were 6 years old. I have a lot of good memories. I was honored to be in her and Joel´s wedding and she was in mine. I regret that we lost touch in the last few years. She was a wonderful friend.
